Local Offer

Under the new Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice (2014) schools and settings are required to produce a SEND information report known as a Local Offer. This needs to be published on the school’s website, kept up-to-date with changes and revised at least annually.

Special Educational Needs that are provided for at Beer C of E Primary School.

The school provides support for pupils across the four areas of need as laid out in the SEND Code of Practice 2014:

Communication and interaction
Cognition and learning
Social, emotional and mental health difficulties
Sensory and/or physical needs
Pupils needing long-term additional help to access the curriculum are helped within ‘SEND support’, and given an EHCP if appropriate.
