Class 3 trip to Kent's Cavern
Class 3 were lucky enough to visit Kent's Cavern in Torquay as part of their Stone Age history learning this term. They were able to handle real Stone Age artefacts, hear from an expert about how Stone Age people lived in Devon and learn about how the cave as changed over thousands of years. Our expert guide Elliott took us down into the depths of the cave, where we saw stalagmites and stalagtites, a dragon in the rocks, and even Victorian graffiti! We learned about how humans evolved by comparing replica early human skulls to our own and we even handled a woolly mammoth tooth. It really brought our learning to life.
