We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our school, which is dedicated to developing our great team, centred around humility and respect.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Beer CofE Primary School, part of St Christopher's Multi Academy Trust. As part of your role you will be working alongside the children and class Teacher to support and extend children’s learning opportunities.

Beer CofE Primary School is led by a very proud Head Teacher and aims to actively encourage the curious nature of its pupils. The school was built in 1978 and has grown to support its 105 pupils, on a beautiful site, benefiting from exceptional sea views. The pupils are exceptionally well behaved, and the school’s values of courage, trust, thankfulness, truthfulness, humility and friendship are embraced by both staff and pupils alike.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a calm and patient demeanour, who is committed to helping young people achieve their full potential. You will have had previous experience in working with children in a similar setting and be able to effectively communicate with adults and children alike.  If you are patient, friendly and nurturing and have a sound pedagogical understanding of how children learn, then we’d love to hear from you!

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful candidates. Candidates are encouraged to read our Safeguarding policy before applying.

Please find below an application form, which should be returned by email to HR@stcmat.org by midday on Wednesday 10th November.
