Chinese New Year
We were so fortunate to have parent Emma visit school to celebrate Chinese New Year. The children learned about the Legend of Nian, and how to name some traditional foods in Mandarin. As it is the Year of the Tiger, the children then had a go at making tiger rockers and tiger envelopes using their origami skills. Emma generously brought a selection of traditional food to share with the children, who were very keen to try unfamiliar fruits and puddings! A heartfelt thank you to Emma who enriched our learning so much.
