Staff are vigilant for signs of any pupil in distress and are confident about applying our safeguarding processes to avert and alleviate any such problems.
We:
We have a number of Safeguarding officers in school identified below but ALL our staff share collective responsibility and have received safeguarding training to help support children who may be at risk. Operation Encompass
Beer C of E Primary School is part of Operation Encompass.
Operation Encompass is a police-led, school based early intervention safeguarding scheme which supports children and young people who are exposed to Domestic Abuse.
Operation Encompass was created to ensure that by 9.00am on the next day the school will be informed that a child or young person has been involved in a domestic abuse incident. This knowledge, given to the school’s trained Key Adult allows the provision of immediate early intervention through overt or silent support, dependent upon the needs and wishes of the child.
Click CEOP button
The NCA’s CEOP Command is here to help children and young people. We are here to help if you are a young person and you or your friend (up to age 18) has been forced or tricked into taking part in sexual activity with anyone online, or in the real world. We also have advice and links to support for other online problems young people might face, such as cyberbullying and hacking.
